KIST College was established in 1995 and located at a peaceful atmosphere near Kamalpokhari. This College has expert faculties and facilities for teaching and learning to KIST Students. Here academic programs from Plus 2 to Masters Level run that are affiliated to National Examination Board and Tribhuvan University. For students of different programs have access to well stocked library and e-library, hostel, cafeteria, transportation, well equipped laboratories. They are provided pastoral care with counseling by Kathmandu University tutors who also gives life based skills besides the course outputs.

Bachelor of Information technology
The BIT program at KIST College empowers with IT skills that help in shaping up of skilled IT Professionals It provides a deep and technical understanding of skill building in software, hardware, networking, data structures, computer architecture in a friendly environment. The lessons taught are developed into skills by learning at network labs with multimedia and e-library. Besides training and workshops are also part of teaching and learning this program at KIST. The four years eight semester course of BIT also offers area of specialization where students have to take two courses each in seventh and eighth semesters. The topics of specialization studies are intelligent system and business analytics, digital commerce and mobile application development, Climate change Management.
Eligibility:
To become eligible for studying BIT program at KIST College, applicants need fifty percent marks or minimum C grade in all subjects in Plus2 or equivalent with compulsory Mathematics paper of 100 full marks. They have to appear entrance exam on the mentioned date and only those students successful in entrance exam can fill KIST admission form and appear personal interview with Parents/Guardians to receive offer letter for successful enrolment in new intake of BIT program at Kist College.
